Humity. Rain. Cough. Work. Fun.

been gladly back in salvador (da bahia, brazil) for nearly 4 weeks now. my work prac (in administration) in a light architecture company, atelier lumiére has been cool. [if interested, go and check out our website - will be renewed soon.] ill be staying here for a bit over 5 months, after what ill head back to finland in september. should finish my degree by the end of this year.

i found a great flat which i share with two brazilians: a guy and a girl. moved in after one week of my arrival. since then ive enjoyed it everyway. few best things about it are that its only a 15 min walk away from the office (don’t have to spend time and lose nerves in full busses) and the beach is close by. its also everyway in a good spot of the city, ive got company there, the flat is fully equipped and so on.

its been awesome to be able to run around wearing thongues and tees after finnish winter, though the best part of it. loved it there, love it here! though, now for the last week ive had a flu, which is not nice. its annoying and keeps me away from the jog track… but i should be able to get back there soon-ish, i hope. one more reason why it should stop raining. DA!

life has been.. normal but fun! work has taken quite a big peace of time of mine here, but ive had time to enjoy the beach view, heat, (at least for us “finns”, exotic) fruits, brazilian soup operas on tv… ive tought my flatmate, tati, to cook, weve hung out with our neighbours, done a finnish (something as posh as makaronilaatikko)/brazilian (musse de maracujá) dinner for friends etc. ive also found a pretty cool church to attend not too far away from our home. been there now for a few times and getting into it. have gotten to know new people here and there which is always topz:D

ye, ive been thinking about this.. arent our lives in this world just pretty amazing gifts from our inventor-creator!? the big question is what do we do with them!

Ouch ouch how cool everything is over there! Your days seem to be full of action, new people and experiences. Enjoy it!!!
Indeed our life is incredible and even more fantastic if we manage to take everything out of it! I guess travelling is one of the best ways to do it. So go, Merzie!!
